After the reform and opening -up,the skillful craftsmen producing in the construction of Canal have gone out of Mt.Taihang in succession.They have entered the building markets of over 300 cities in 26 provinces and opened up more than 10 overseas markets like Russia and Singapore.
Their products like Beijing Asian Game Village,the National Library have won high quality workers prize- Luban Prize.In 2003, people work in the building industry numbered 145,000;the output value of construction and installation projects was 4.3 billion;the net income of labour service has stimulated the rapid development of township enterprises and opening industry.The metallurgy,machine building,glass work,medical and chemical,building material,light textile and plast industry have become Linzhou's seven pillar industries and new driving for this of Linzhou's economy.
